Synopsis - Divider

Fight for Me is Book Two of The Captivated Series – a Young Adult Paranormal Romance.

A fresh start – something Kat and Gabriel thought they would find when they left their Fight for Me by S.J. Pierce - Cover.jpgpasts behind at Midland Pines High and moved to a compound for hybrids. Or at least safety from a witch seeking revenge. But now… that’s all changed. Now, thanks to a flirty hybrid hell-bent on winning Gabriel’s attention, the terrifying visions of another prophetic Gifted, and the strange and worrisome behavior of one of their closest friends, Kat finds herself fighting for things that had once come so easily, including her relationship with her soulmate. And now she’s afraid.

My Review - Divider

Fight for Me is an electrifying mix of sweet romance and riveting fantasy.

After their near-to-death experience at Midland Pines Land, they decided to go and to live in the hybrid camp – where no one of their kind will be able to leave – after they’ve found out that the sister of Iris named Liliana are after them for revenge. Adjusting to their new lives, Kat will have lots of problems – there’s a girl flirting with her boyfriend, her best friend’s boyfriend and her friend also named Dawson is being weird and her prophetic dreams are coming back again.

Memories can be erased, but not feelings. Heartbreak, joy, love, sorrow; those take root and become a part of who you are. – S. J. Pierce, Fight for Me

This book really entertained me! I loved it but it leaves me an hanging moment because the story was cut and the best part will be continued on book three.

I liked how the author put an amazing twist and turn in this book. The ending really leaves me hanging but I can’t deny that the twist is very unexpected. I really want to tell you something about it but it’ll only spoil you so I won’t do it anymore. Just read this book for you to know what I’m saying.

Hiding from your past never made it go away. Sometimes you had to face it or it would creep up on you when least expected it. – S. J. Pierce, Fight for Me

The characters are also great though some of them don’t have any exposure here anymore unlike on the first book. I would loved it if they will have some scenes just for me to have any idea what’s going on them.

The story was told from Kat’s voice.

I liked Kat though sometimes I’m irritated because of her actions. Then, all she ever think about is her relationship with Gabe. It’s always love, love, love…

And, her boyfriend’s boss is the flirty-type-of-girl you wouldn’t like to be around your boyfriend. If I were Kat, I will already talk to her to clear everything instead of doubting Gabe doing something behind her.

Her friend Dawson is really a jerk too! I find him irritating but it’s him who will make you curious and shock you as read this book.

Gabe is really sweet! I loved him but he is just too innocent. He is too good to be true.

“Whether it’s something we’re aware of or not, when our trust and sense of safety in this world has been taken away from us, we start to question everything and everyone.” – S. J. Pierce, Fight for Me

I can’t say much about the story because just like what I’ve said, it was cut. In short, the ending had been a cliffhanger. But! Because of it, I’m eager to have the next book. Why? Because (I think), the best story will be revealed there. This book is just like a starting part of the story and the climax and all of the best scenes will be put together in the next book.

The overall story was great and enjoyable though most of the part I was kind of stressed because of Kat and the other characters. I loved the world building even if it’s not as awesome as the world building of the other books I’d read.

This is recommended to everyone who loves reading a young adult paranormal romance. I’m sure you will like this.
