Fated Memories by Joan Carney - Banner

Synopsis - Divider

A woman, a war, a vision of the future past…

Burdened with the scars of a tortured childhood and a shattered romance, Kitty is being Fated Memories by Joan Carney - Cover.jpgforced to resign from the dull, anonymous job she’s been hiding behind. With her life in shambles and her friends moving on without her, she jumps at her cousin, Maggie’s, invitation to visit. However, Maggie’s new boyfriend, Simon, has a secret that accidentally hurls the trio a hundred and fifty years into the past. Trapped in the midst of the bloodiest war in American history, and acutely aware their actions might trigger a butterfly effect on the future, the events that unfold will require more mettle than Kitty’s ever had.

My Review - Divider

A very intricately written novel that really makes me get excited to every turn of the pages.

A story about the three people who accidentally went back into the past, 1981, and thrives hard to go with the flow without making the people suspect them doing illegal things. They experienced here how the people in the past fight for their life. How the hospital systems was and how they treated the people injured. How women felt violated by those unruly guys who needed to be smacked a hundred times.

I really love this book! This made me feel my adrenaline moving fast as I get deeper into the story. It shows how people by that time thinks and how things work in the past makes me feel sorry on those who get an undeserving treatment from the other people.

From the characters, I wasn’t able to know more about some of them but it isn’t destroying the flow of the story because the focus of the story is not about them but on Kitty.

I like the will Kitty got. Sometimes, I want to replace her and do the job to smacked those guys who don’t respect women. Am I already making a fan club here? Haha! Sorry, she is just really amazing!

Overall, this just made my day. I’ve finished reading it in a day. I’ve learned a lot from this book especially those things from the past. Really recommended for those who wants to travel back in the past.
