Daisy Kirkwood has only just escaped her small-town life and run away to New York City, the land of last-minute secret gigs at famous musical venues, when she’s kidnapped by aliens. Unfortunately, no one ever writes about how to handle alien abduction in those fancy NYC guidebooks.
Griffin and Dev are supermassively sexy aliens from a politically and environmentally troubled planet who arrive on Earth with very little knowledge about human ways other than what they learned from a wayward E! News signal. Their mission is to pretend to be the most influential people on the planet—English pop stars, of course!—and gain the help of a powerful secret society. Upon arriving, they abduct Daisy Kirkwood, a nerdy young woman who loves music but could seriously use a bit of help in the love-life department. Though Griffin and Daisy initially squabble, neither can deny the intergalactic sparks whenever they’re too close to each other. Together, they must face murderous aliens, cultural misunderstandings, bad backup musicians, and the dark side of fame and the media, all set against a tight deadline…
Part High Fidelity, part Bridget Jones’ Diary, part Doctor Who, Dating an Alien Pop Star is a sexy romantic comedy.
Dating an Alien Pop Star is a young adult fiction written by a very gorgeous writer Kendra L. Saunders. The story is told and narrated by Daisy Kirkwood, the heroine in the story. Based on its title, it involves aliens – a real hot, handsome, and lovable aliens.
I must admit that the characters are great! They’re not boring and each has its own uniqueness.
Daisy Kirkwood is a very charming human girl. The way she narrated the story will definitely make you like her. She’s a fan of bands and that connects me to her because we both love music.
Then, here comes the hot aliens!
Griffin Valentino is the prince of their planet. He’s just so charming and very childish most of the time. He’s obsessed in buying designer brands and — oops, I promise not to spoil that much.
And the other one is Devon London. He’s Griffin’s best friend and they treat each other as brothers. You might actually mistaken them to be lovers because of their closeness.
Personally, I’m not really a fan of alien movies but, I’d read some articles about them on the internet. This series made me want to be an ALIEN now. As I said, the story is not boring and its scenes compelled me to read it ’til the end. I even have to pause for a minute to catch my breath on every Griffin and Daisy’s scenes. On the first few chapters, I have already found myself fangirling over Griffin! If he’s only real, I would definitely follow him on twitter and print pictures of him and post it on my bedroom walls! LOL!
I am recommending this to all the readers who love music, hot alien guys and steamy bed scenes. Did I just say they have some bed scenes? Oh well, they have! *winks* And I can’t wait to read more of their stories!
